HONOURABLE MENTION

1. The Cure – Japanese Whispers

This collection of non-album singles, and their respective B-sides, contains a few of my all-time favourite Cure songs. The songs range from having that classic, post- Pornography gothy sound you’d expect to the downright absurdity of “The Lovecats”, the finale to the strange ride that is this compilation. Regardless of whether you’re a fan or not, this can be a fun jumping on point, or a peculiar bookend that will leave you feeling melancholy and tapping your feet, in that order. Also, for the longest time Myles and I thought the aforementioned song “The Lovecats” was featured in the 1995 Spider-Man video game for Sega Genesis, but upon further investigation it appears that we were mistaken.
